Chester Alvin Hargrave JrMay 20, 1942 ~ October 26, 2017 (age 75)
Chester Alvin Hargrave Jr. of Caldwell, Idaho, formerly of Wilder, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at a local hospital.
Chester was born on May 20, 1942 to Chester Alvin Sr. and Catharine (Wright) Hargrave in Nampa, Idaho. He was raised and educated in Nampa graduating from Nampa High.
He married the love of his life, Janet Thacker, on August 19, 1969. While he was working he worked for Simplot, Operation Engineers, and the Nampa School District. His hobbies included riding horses, weight lifting, going camping, riding four-wheelers, and most importantly spending time with his family. Chester also served in the United States Army. He was a devoted member of the LDS church and enjoyed working at the temple.
Chester is survived by his wife, Janet Hargrave; two daughters, Lana (Bill) Ramos and Laura (Steven) Young; grandsons, Cody Ramos, Clay Ramos, Kipton Ramos, Russel Hargrave, and Sevren Young; granddaughters, Savanna Young and Clanice Ramos, and six great grandchildren.
His is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Catharine Hargrave; son, Mark Allen Hargrave; and infant daughter Tammera Hargrave.
He was loved by his family very much.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 beginning at 11:00 AM located at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4509 South Montana Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho 83607. Interment will be following the services at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa.
