Everett (Ray) Kinney, (75) better known as Papa Ray was born on April 24, 1939 to OJ and Minnie Kinney.    On July 23rd a sudden unexpected illness took his life. He was surrounded by his family and friends and though he fought very hard he lost the battle. He grew up in Boise where he lived all of his life. He married Linda Deppe in 1957 and worked as a construction worker, they had four children together. He married Lynda Iwakiri in 1999 and he spent the rest of his life trying to keep up with her on the golf course. After retiring he spent his days doing yard work, reading, watching Westerns, golfing with friends, spending time with his family and traveling in his motor home with Lynda enjoying the warm weather in Arizona throughout the winters for the past four years. He loved visits at his house from all his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife Lynda, children Debbie (Reed), LeeAnn (Brad), Carrie (Chris), Ronnie, Toney (Heather), and Tina (Zach). He loved his grandkids Jeremy (Melanie), Sarah (Gabe), Shaun, (Vickie), Beau (Christal), Jason (Sunny), Darcy (Kristen), Colby (Michelle), Chelsea (Dan), Cameron (Nicole) Carter, Clarissa (Todd), Brandon Casey (Peter), and Kaleb (Helen) Kim, Mike. He would do anything for his Great Grand Children. He spent lots of his extra time being the best Papa he could be. Papa would do anything from making snowmen, carving pumpkins, sledding to painting his nails. He would insist on taking any of the kids on a weekend vacation or reunion.   He was the most loving Husband, father, Papa, Grandpa, Brother, Son and friend anyone could ever ask for. He would do anything for anyone.  Ray is preceded in death by his mom (Minnie), dad (Orville), brother (Joe) and grandson (Brian). We will always remember the great times that we got with our beloved Papa and cherish those memories. We know he is looking down on us from heaven’s golf course with his daily coffee. Funeral services will be held at Alsip Funeral home on Monday July 28, at 11am with a lunch to follow at 1pm at the Nampa Elks Club.
