Barbara (Cata) Barajas Solis
Devoted mother and wife and grandmother
Barbara (Cata) Barajas Solis, 89, was called to be with the Lord and her husband on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.  She was born in Mexico to Pablo and Arculana Barajas on November 25, 1924.  Barbara met the love of her life, Juan Corpus Solis, in Alamo, Texas and then moved to Idaho where they formed their family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Corpus Solis, her brother, Juan Barajas, her sons Tacho Sanchez and Freddy Medina and her daughter Rebecca Espinoza.  She is survived by her children: Hector Jaime (Bibiana), Juan Jr. (Esmeralda), Mario Sr. (Josefina), Criselda Vasquez (Jose Angel Sr.), Ana Maria Guerrero (Jesse Sr.), Arculana Garcia (Robert Sr.), Regino Sanchez (Alta), and Ester Medina (Santos).  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara loved to spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also kept active by taking walks, caring for her loved ones, and watching her telenovelas.  During the Christmas holidays she enjoyed making tamales for the family.  Barbara also loved to visit her family in Texas and Chicago.  She will be greatly missed by everyone.  She leaves a void in our hearts, but it is joyous that she is now resting with our dear Lord and her beloved husband.  We will always love you.
Public viewing will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. So., Nampa from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nampa. Internment at Mt. Calvary cemetery will immediately follow.
